New Direction

Looks kinda empty in here doesn't it?  I started this blog as a place just for me.... where I could say anything I felt like saying and not have to worry about people in my "real" world being offended, or critical, or just thinking I'm nuts.  There were less than a handful of people in my in-person life that I ever told about it, and not a single one of them was a relative.  I just wanted to have a place where I didn't have to worry what people think.  But after 4 1/2 years, I've discovered that, through what I hope was just an accident, my blog has been advertised on another blog that many of my real-life friends, relatives and local people follow, and while I don't know if any of them have actually seen it, I can't take the chance that even one of them will.  I don't think I've ever written anything that will hurt or offend any of them, and I'm sure most of them would be supportive of my efforts, but just that feeling of needing to censor everything I post is enough to take all worth out of it for me.  It's added stress in my life that I don't need.

So... instead of deleting the blog, I just deleted all the posts and will leave it as is while I ponder the direction I want to go.  My main focus is on my photography now, and I am already posting pictures on Flickr, so I don't really need this blog for the purpose of just getting my pictures out there.  If I decide to continue with an actual blog, it will most likely need to be a brand new start, with a new name... maybe it will still be Blogger, or I may try something new.  Whatever I decide to do, I still intend to check in on those of you with blogs that I've been visiting. I've got them all bookmarked. If any of you would like to be notified if I start a new blog elsewhere (since I will not be posting the location on here when it happens) or if you would like to follow my Flickr albums, either post a comment to this posting, or send me a private email at:  susan@lucente.org  .   I would be very pleased to hear from all of you!
